How to Change your HP Photosmart D5463 Ink Cartridges Refill

  1. Press the HP D5463 Printer’s Power button to turn it on. Wait till the machine is idle before you continue.
  2. Open the printer’s ink cartridge door and wait for the cartridge to stop moving at the central area before you continue.
  3. Release the old ink cartridge from the carriage by gently pressing its front tab and pull it away from the slot.
  4. Unpack the new HP D5463 ink cartridge by getting rid of plastic tape, then twist the orange cap to snap it off.
  5. With the contacts facing the printhead, insert the ink cartridge into the vacant slot, then push on the device until it locks into place.
  6. Repeat the same steps when replacing the other empty ink cartridges.
  7. Close the printer’s ink cartridge door. The carriage will return to the printer’s right side.
