How to Change your HP Photosmart B8550 Ink Cartridges Refill
- Press the Power button of your HP Photosmart Pro B8550 printer to turn it on, then lower the printer’s output tray if it isn’t lowered yet.
- Reach within the printer and pull the handle to open the ink cartridge access door and wait as the carriage moves to the printer’s center before you continue.
- Gently press the used ink cartridge down to unlatch it from the carriage, then pull it out from the slot.
- Unwrap the new HP Photosmart B8550 Ink Cartridge and prepare it for installation by removing the plastic tape and getting rid of the orange protective cap.
- Hold the new ink cartridge by the sides and with the nozzles facing the machine before pushing it into the matching slot at a slightly upward angle.
- Gently push the new ink cartridge into the slot until it is firmly seated.
- Repeat the steps as necessary with the other ink cartridges, then close the cartridge access door once you're finished.
