How to Change your HP Photosmart 5522 Ink Cartridges Refill
- Press the HP 5522 printer’s Power button if you haven’t turned it on yet. Wait until the machine is silent and idle before proceeding.
- Open the printer’s ink cartridge access door. The carriage will move to the printer’s center – wait until it is silent and idle before proceeding.
- Release the empty ink cartridge by pressing the tab in front of the ink cartridge and remove it by pulling it out from the slot.
- Get the new HP Photosmart 5522 Ink Cartridge and pull back the orange tab to remove its plastic wrap. Remove also the orange cap by twisting it until it snaps off from the ink cartridge.
- Make sure the ink cartridge’s contacts face the printhead when you slide it into the empty slot. Gently push it down until it is seated firmly in the carriage. Repeat these installation steps when replacing the other color cartridges as needed.
- Close the HP 5522 printer ink cartridge door and let it return to the printer’s right side.
