How to Change your HP Photosmart 5520 Ink Cartridges Refill
- Turn on your HP 5520 printer by pressing the Power Button, then wait for it to become silent and idle before you proceed.
- Open the HP 5520 ink cartridge access door. Wait for the carriage to stop moving at the center of the machine while it takes the replacement position before you proceed.
- Press the lock release lever in front of the empty ink cartridge to release it, then gently pull up the device from its slot.
- Get your new HP ink for Photosmart 5520 and unpack it by pulling out the orange tab to get rid of the plastic wrap.
- Hold the new ink cartridge at the sides, then remove the orange cap by twisting counterclockwise.
- Carefully bend the ink cartridge tab, slide it into its slot, and then push it down until it snaps into position. Follow the same steps for the other new ink cartridges.
- Close the HP 5520 ink cartridge access door and let the machine align the newly installed cartridges.
