How to Change your HP Officejet 6975 Ink Cartridges Refill

  1. Open your Officejet 6975 ink cartridge access door and wait as the carriage take a position in the ink cartridge access area – don’t proceed until it stops moving.
  2. Press the tab in front of the empty ink cartridge to release it, then pull the device up from the slot.
  3. Get the new HP 6951 ink cartridge, unpack it, then pull away from the orange pull-tab backward.
  4. Hold the new ink cartridge along the sides, then turn the protective cap counter-clockwise to remove it.
  5. Turn the ink cartridge so the contacts are facing downward, then find its matching color dot on the carriage
  6. Put the new ink cartridge into the slot, then gently press it down until it locks into position.
  7. Repeat prior steps when installing the other color ink cartridges, as necessary.
  8. Close the machine’s ink cartridge access door to complete the installation.
