How to Change your HP Officejet 6979 Ink Cartridges Refill

  1. HP would require you to turn your HP 6979 printer when installing cartridges so make sure the machine is switched on.
  2. Open the cartridge door completely and let the carriage transfer into the cartridge replacement are until it stops moving.
  3. Push the front tab of the empty cartridge. Be careful while pulling it upwards that you don't touch the contacts to avoid ink from staining your fingers.
  4. Unwrap the new HP 6979 Ink Cartridge then remove its orange cap.
  5. Insert the device into the empty slot and gently push it down until it snaps into place.
  6. Close the machine’s cartridge door to finish the installation.
