How to Change your HP Officejet PRO 6963 Ink Cartridges Refill

  1. Turn on the printer by connecting it to a working power supply and pressing the Power button.
  2. Gently grasp the handles on either side of the printer, then raise the ink cartridge access door until it locks into place. The carriage will move to the center of the printer so wait until it is idle and silent before you proceed.
  3. To release the ink cartridge, lift the lid on the ink cartridge slot, then gently push the lid back until it stops, and pull out the ink cartridge to remove it from the slot.
  4. Remove one of the new ink cartridges from its package; be careful to only touch the black plastic on the ink cartridge, then remove the plastic tape from the ink cartridge.
  5. Hold the ink cartridge by its sides with the nozzles toward the printer, then slide the device forward into the slot.
  6. Close the lid on the ink cartridge slot to secure the ink cartridge into place.
  7. Repeat the previous steps to install the other color ink cartridge, if needed.
  8. Close the ink cartridge access door to finish the installation.
