How to Change your HP Envy 5055 Ink Cartridges

1. Kindly turn on your HP Envy 5055 and slide the Input Tray out from the printer.
   
   
2. Insert paper into the Input Tray until it stops. Move the width guides until they touch the edge of the paper. Slide the Input Tray back into the device.
   
   
3. Lift the Ink Cartridge Access Door open using the cutouts at the sides of the printer. The Carriage moves into the cartridge access position. Let the Carriage stop before you proceed.
   
   
4. Find the Empty Ink Cartridge and release it from its slot by lifting its protective cover to open. Remove the Empty Ink Cartridge by pulling it out from the slot.
   
   
5. Please take out the New Ink Cartridge from its packaging. Tear the tab from the ink tank to discard the plastic taping. Avoid touching the Nozzles and Contacts to prevent potential clogs and electrical connection problems.
   
   
6. Insert the New Ink Cartridge directly into the empty slot with its Nozzles facing the printer. Close the cover and make sure it locks into place. 
   
   
7. Lower the Cartridge Access Door back to close. The HP Envy 5055 will display a message on the control panel confirming the installation of the cartridges. Tap Continue.
   
   
8. Another message will appear on the screen telling you to load paper into the device. Tap OK, followed by another OK to begin printing an alignment page. 
   
   
9. After the HP Envy 5055 prints an alignment page, raise the Scanner Lid to open. Load the alignment page into the Scanner Glass with its print side facing down.
   
   
10. Lower the Scanner Lid back to close and then tap OK on the printer control panel. The HP 5055 will start aligning the Ink Cartridges and display an alignment message on the control message after. Tap OK again to complete the process.
