How to Change your HP Deskjet 3521 Ink Cartridges Refill

1. Turn the printer on by pressing the Power button – if it isn’t turned on yet. Please wait for it to become silent and idle before proceeding.
2. Open your ink cartridge’s access door, then wait for the carriage to transfer to the printer’s center before proceeding.
3. Release the empty ink cartridge by pressing the tab at the ink cartridge’s front and pull it from the slot.
4. Get your new HP 3521 Ink Cartridge, get rid of the plastic wrap, and remove the orange pull-tab backward. Twist the ink cartridge’s orange cap counterclockwise to remove it.
5. Slide the ink cartridge in the direction of the empty slot with its contacts facing the printhead. Push it down until it is firmly set.
6. If the cartridge doesn’t lock into position, pull the ink cartridge from the carriage and carefully bend the cartridge’s tab then reinsert it into the carriage. Repeat steps 4-6 when replacing the other Color HP 564 Ink Cartridges.
7. Close the ink cartridge door – the carriage will return to the printer’s right side.
