How to Change your Epson WF-2540 Ink Cartridges Refill

1. Turn on your Epson WF-2540 printer. If an ink cartridge is empty, the LCD screen will show the message. Remember which cartridges need replacement, then press the OK button and select Replace Now.
2. Raise the scanner unit. Don’t touch the printhead with your hand; it may damage your machine. Avoid touching the flat white cable within the printer.
3. Squeeze the tab over the cartridge then lift it straight up from the carriage; make sure you hold the device on the sides while removing it. Get rid of the empty cartridges immediately; don’t do anything else with them.
4. Gently shake the WF 2540 ink cartridge several times before unpacking it, then remove it from the package. Avoid touching the small windows or green chip on the cartridge.
5. Peel off the yellow tape on the cartridge’s side.
6. Align the new cartridge with the chip facing the backside of the holder, then push it down to secure its position. 
7. Lower the printer’s scanner unit. Hit the OK button. Wait for the print head to return to the home position and begin charging the ink. Charing is completed once you see the confirmation message on the LCD screen.
