How to Change Your Brother MFC-L2680W Toner Cartridges
Reminders: Be sure the machine is on.
-
Gently pull up the front cover to open it.
- Remove the toner cartridges and drum units from the printer.
- Push the green lock lever down and pull the toner cartridges from the drum unit.
- Get the new toner cartridge and put it carefully into the drum unit until it locks into place.
- Make sure the toner cartridge is set correctly, so it doesn’t detach from the drum unit.
- Clean the drum unit’s corona wire by carefully skimming the green tab sideward multiple times. Make sure the tab is returned at the Home position. The tab’s arrow should be in line with the drum unit’s arrow. If not, the printed pages may contain a vertical stripe.
- Put the toner cartridge and drum back into the printer.
- Close the machine’s front cover.
Reminders: After the toner cartridge replacement, don’t turn off the unit or open its cover until the display is set to Ready Mode.
