How to Change your Canon Pixma iX6550 Ink Cartridges Refill
- Open the printer cover and make sure it’s adequately opened using the support brace on the cover’s right side.
- Push the old cartridge's tab to unlatch it from the carriage then gently pull it out of the slot.
- Get the new Canon Pixma iX6550 Ink Cartridge from its package then hold it along the sides.
- Peel away the strip of protective tape from the new device such that the electrical contacts and print nozzle are exposed.
- The printer must contain a printer cartridge slot labeled ‘B; that’s where you put the new black ink cartridge.
- Push the new cartridge into the slot until you feel it lock into place.
- Repeat the process above with the color cartridge, but put the device on the slot labeled ‘C.
- Get rid of the cover’s support brace and put the printer lid into a closed position.
- By this time, there should be a green flashlight on top of the printer. If not, then you haven’t installed the cartridges correctly.
- You are ready to print once the green flashing light becomes a constant 1.
