How to Change your Brother DCP-9020CDN Toner Cartridges Refill
- Make sure the Brother 9020CDN printer is turned on by pressing the Power Button.
- Open the machine’s top cover until it remains in the open position.
- Remove the drum unit assembly and toner cartridge for the color indicated on the printer’s display.
- Push the green lock lever down and pull the toner cartridge away from the drum unit.
- Unpack the new Brother 9020CDN Toner Cartridge. Clasp the cartridge level using both hands and thoroughly shake it sideways multiple times to distribute the toner evenly within the cartridge.
- Remove the protective cover, then insert the new toner cartridge into the drum unit until it locks into place. You will know if you've installed it correctly because the drum unit’s green lock lever will lift automatically.
- Clean the corona wire within the drum unit by carefully sliding the green tab sideways multiple times.
- Put the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly back into the printer. Make sure the toner cartridge color matches that of the printer.
- To maintain good print quality, clean the corona wire of the other color cartridge’s drum unit before closing the machine’s top cover.
